Description

Industrial Engineers plan plant, productionfacilities and equipment layouts, determines the most efficient sequence ofoperations and workflow, and establishes methods for maximum utilization ofproduction facilities and personnel. Develops metrics to measure equipment andfactory capacity and output, and to identify equipment and process flowbottlenecks. May establish or assist in establishing accident preventionmeasures and may plan and schedule training programs for personnel concerningall phases of production operations. Conducts studies pertaining to costcontrol, cost reduction, inventory control, and production record systems. Onthe basis of these studies, develops and implements plans and programs for facilitymodifications and revisions to operating methods. Responds to customer/clientrequests or events as they occur. Develops solutions to problems utilizingformal education and judgement. This internship offers a variety ofopportunities to acquire 300mm wafer manufacturing practical experiences asfollowing:

·        Responsible for capacitymanagement and productivity improvement for the toolset on the floor.

·        Create and utilize tacticalcapacity model to perform tactical what-if analysis.

·        Evaluating and coordinatingscenarios with stakeholders for capacity metrics, run rules, reuse, capitalimprovement, install/conversion, etc.

·        Partnering with management todevelop applications to improve production metrics.

·        Provide input into layoutsolutions that solve the problems statement and also meets IE criteria ofconserving space, cost, future plan, etc.

Qualifications

·        At least meet one of followingbackground: Industrial Engineering, Operation Research and Softwaredevelopment.

·        Advanced data extraction,analysis, and reporting skills.

·        Advanced understanding ofstatistics.

·        Proven ability in multi-taskingcomplex projects.  

·        Strong partnering andteam-working skills.

·        Demonstrated analytical problemsolving skills.

·        Good communication skills inboth English and Mandarin.
